What happened

The New York-based funder says same-day ACH capability gives it a competitive edge as the industry moves toward near-instant funding for small-dollar advances.

Moneyline confirmed the details with 2 people with direct knowledge, who asked not to be named because the matter is not yet public. This story on Rapid Finance is developing; we will update it as filings and statements land.

Why it matters

Automation is compressing the part of underwriting that was always the bottleneck — reading statements — while leaving judgment calls on larger files with humans. The winners are pairing both, not choosing between them.

The numbers behind it

The figures below come from Moneyline's data desk, drawn from verified member submissions and public filings. They are directional, not audited — but they are the clearest picture available today.

What we're hearing

Operators in #fintech-ai report similar gains on straightforward files and warn that edge cases — related-party transfers, seasonal businesses — still need a human eye.

“The model doesn't get tired at 4:55 on a Friday. That's most of the edge.”
Head of underwriting, fintech lender

What to watch

  1. Auditing standards for automated underwriting
  2. Bank-data aggregator pricing changes
  3. Adoption of AI underwriting above the $100K ticket

We ran the same test. The parser is great on NSFs and still misses a lot on transfers between related accounts.

The 90-second number is real for sub-$50K. Above that, humans are still in the loop everywhere I've seen.

Editors — can you do a follow-up with the funder side? Would love to hear their read.
